About Annie

I love art, both as a Creator and Consumer. I spend much of my personal time either enjoying the work of admired artists or exploring art opportunities of my own. What's great is that many of my friends and family feel just as at home in the art world as I do. I love it when they accompany me to museums and craft events or help me develop creative ideas of my own.

I've tried my hand at many different techniques, from Drawing and Printmaking to Multi-Media and Crafting, usually with somewhat unusual materials and subject matter. However, as you may have noticed given the images featured here, Photography is my true passion. I find great joy in capturing, highlighting and celebrating whatever subject I choose with my own twist on perspective.

While I may have a favorite art, having dabbled in a range of genres has given me a great appreciation for all the unique applications found in the work of others artists. With each fellow crafter I discover, I could wish that I had their talent or that I came up with their ideas first. But truthfully, I prefer being good at my own technique and defer to others for inspiration in theirs. In many cases, these creators contribute to some of my favorite personal work - Photography of their creations (much of which can be see on their profile pages herein). It's not hard to take a nice picture when the subject matter is already art.

I'm a natural born collector, and I love to go to art events to shop and discover. Camera in hand and usually a fellow art admirer in tow, I am looking less to buy and more to add to my list of artists that have opened the door to new viewpoints. As this collection has grown year to year, it occurred to me that some of you might find the work of these creators equally intriguing. Thus, the idea for a "virtual lookbook" came to be.

The artists and crafters I have chosen to showcase here standout for their individual vision and skill. I find them inspiring, as I mentioned, not as concepts to copy but rather examples of how wonderfully vast and varied art can be. True Art is an absence of boundaries... across Subject Matter, Technique, Material, Use of Color, Use of Lighting, Combinations and Juxtapositions.

Feel free to flip through these "pages" of artists' profiles in search of your own inspiration. And if you find that I'm missing someone great, I welcome you to send their name my way. I'm always looking for new and fabulous finds to uncover. I fully expect this collection to continually grow, a work in progress like all great artists, never complete. Thanks, and please enjoy!

Please note, much of the photography in these pages is my own, but the artists I have profiled retain the rights to their featured creations. For any artists that I did not have personal images to share, I have highlighted the creators' own reproductions. These are also the property of the original artist and only used here to provide examples of their talent and vision. They should all be sourced and expressly attributed to the owner. If you are one of these artists and do not want you art showcased herein, please feel free to contact me. Also, if you share your email address for weekly mailings, that is all your contact information will be used for. Thanks!
